Game One of the NBA Finals started on Thursday and the Lakers came thru with a 100 75 win over the Orlando Magic. Led by Kobe Bryant and his 40 pt, 8 assist and 8 rebound game, the Lakers held the Magic to 31% shooting from the field. The Magic three ball that they have been relying on all season as long with the playoffs, was not falling at all. The Lakers' defense was frantic and the Magic looked confused all nite. Dwight Howard was held to 1 field goal and 12 points. Paul Gasol, Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum all combined for 30+ points and helping Kobe defeat the seemed panicing Magic. Although Kobe didnt need help shooting over Mikel Petruis, Courtney Lee and at times JJ Redick. The Lakers are off to a good start and are still playing championship basketball. They didn't let their almost a week layoff deter them from coming out and playing on all cylinders. Game 2 is Sunday coverage beginning @ 730 on ABC. Look for another smooth performance by Kobe and the Magic to step up.
